Curriculum

 

The subjects studied at Hull Trinity House School provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum for all students in the School.

In KS3 the following subjects are studied:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Information Communications Technology
  • Geography
  • History
  • Religious Education
  • French
  • Art
  • Design & Technology
  • Music
  • Physical Education
  • Citizenship
  • PLTS – Personal Learning & Thinking Skills

During Year 9 students are asked to select options for subjects to study during KS4.

All KS4 students study the following subjects:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science (Dual or Triple Award)
  • Games
  • Religious Education
  • Citizenship – Preparation for working life

Students will be asked to choose one vocational subject. Some of these courses are provided on the school site and others are provided at various facilities throughout the city.

The onsite vocational subjects are:

  • BTEC Sport
  • BTEC Uniformed Services
  • BTEC Engineering

The offsite vocational subjects are:

  • Animal Care
  • Motor Vehicle
  • Construction

There is also a list of optional subjects. Students will be asked to choose two of the following options:

  • Geography
  • History
  • Art
  • Resistant Materials
  • Electronic Products
  • Graphic Products
  • Triple Award Science
